Geocaching is a high tech treasure hunt using a GPS device. There are thousands of caches (or treasures) found all over the world, even in your neighborhood. Visit www.geocaching.com to access these cache locations and program or download them into your GPS device.

What is a Cache?
Cache is a term used in hiking or camping when hiding and/or storing provisions. A cache in Geocaching terms is a small, water tight container containing a log book and small toys. When a cache is found, participants typically take an item and leave an item and sign the log book.

Want to give it a try?
We have set up several private caches in Sunriver for you to find that are accessible along the bike trails. You can either walk or ride your bike to the caches. Our packs include a GPS unit, a small backpack, a bag of 10 toys (for you to trade & keep), a booklet to guide you to 15 caches hidden in Sunriver, extra batteries, a notepad , and a pencil.
